Shiny New Thing
Hey friends! This new blog has been in my dreams and in the works for quite some time! I am so thrilled to be able to unveil it to you now. Within this blog you will find pieces of my heart and soul! Meraki - A Greek word meaning ‘to do something with soul, creativity, or love; to put something of yourself into your work.’ What an absolute honor and privilege to be doing something I love and sharing it with you.
So what can you expect from my shiny, new blog? My hope is that you pour yourself a cup of coffee/tea/sparkling water, pull up a seat, take a deep breath, and find humor and relatability in reading my posts. I love getting lost in stories and hope to be able to give that same joy to you every once in a while. Most importantly, I hope it will remind you to ‘just be’ you...your authentic, beautiful, unique self...you will always be loved and accepted here.
I am an avid book reader and will be sharing some reviews and doing a monthly book, please feel free to join me and read along! I will share more about that on my social media sites, so go follow me there and join the fun! This month I am reading Jetsetters, by Amanda Ward. It is a somewhat comical, somewhat dramatic read about a dysfunctional family (a mom and her adult children) who win a cruise and spend time together for the first time in many, many years. It’s been one of those types of books that I can just cruise (no pun intended) through as it is not that heavy of a read.
In March, I will be reading and reviewing The Push , by Ashley Audrain. ‘A tense, page-turning psychological drama about the making and breaking of a family- and a woman whose experience of motherhood is nothing at all like what she hoped for, and everything she feared.’ This one came highly recommended and I’m looking forward to reading it, but it will definitely be a heavy-hearted read.
